Mountain Peak Paranormal Investigations

Thank you for visiting Mountain Peak Paranormal Investigation’s blog. We are a science based organization, located in Central Colorado, dedicated to the research and investigation of paranormal activities, along with educating the public about ghosts and the field of the paranormal. We research claims of haunting, ghost sightings, and other reported paranormal activities. In addition, we assist other paranormal agencies with their investigations and research.

We have investigated many homes, historical locations, places of business, and local legends alike.  Many of the locations we have investigated are now used for active research in the paranormal, which includes ongoing experiments and capturing data over a period of time through regular on site investigations.

To browse our blog use the menu at the top, start under “Paranormal”.  New post links are on the right.

I have left MPPIR

MPPIR did not want to maintain this blog or show any interest in the blog.  As I was the main contributor to the blog I will continue to maintain the blog for as long as it does not cost me anything more then time.

Because of some health issues and work constraints I may take a bit of time before getting back to the blog and approving comments.

Frank.

Thanks for the great experiences at the Colorado State Prison in Canon City on Oct. 29. I really enjoyed “meeting” some of the “guests” there. The interaction was really great, and the trip wire activity was amazing! You all are very professional, and alot of fun too! Lois

in the comment you mentioned using a css change for the theme, would you mind explaining what that means/would do? i’m a little on the inexperienced side of things, lol.

CSS is Custom Style Sheets. With wordpress you can use them if you pay for the upgrade or if you are using wordpress.org and hosting your own blog then you can change the CSS.
There is a help page about it here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/editing-css/

I have your blog bookmark and visit it often. I did not see an email subscription link on you blog so I have not done that yet.
Note that only the Blog admins can see the emails that subscribe. TIP: No spam from wordpress.com if you do sub any blog.

      Thank you for visiting Sara.

  21. A Sceptical Medium May 25, 2011 at 2:17 am

It is so refreshing to see a ‘sensible’ group doing this instead of all the dramatics, theatrics and other paraphernalia that usually goes with this side of things.
There is definitely something happening and it’s good to see people doing this with respect. Keep up the good work.

    • Frank May 27, 2011 at 10:14 am

Greatly appreciated. We do try to be scientific without being closed to the idea that the paranormal includes the impressions of “Sensitives” (Mediums and psychics).

We also try as we can to stay from the dramatic. Though sometimes paranormal stuff can be spooky and scary. Though when we run, its at the ghosts.

Maintaining a level of professionalism is important in any field. It may not get us the fan base of “TV ghost shows” but that is not why this group investigates.

      Thank you for noticing.

I found a site from UK… about very old ghosts haunting s…. I have them listed in my blog roll if you are interested or maybe you have already seen the site…… you could really do some investigating in Britain and England. !!!
      take care.

Working the real job. Also working on videos, its going to be a two part video I think. And My other Author’s comp is in the shop at the moment.

Its is normal for me right after a tour to look like I am taking a break. I am just going over audio and video files to see if I have anything good to post that’s recent.
I will have some posts over the weekend.
Thanks for thinking about us. Don’t worry I am still here.

      • Frank May 27, 2011 at 11:10 pm

I did add one page this week. It is a copy from our web site. Just a little maintenance.

I may have seen the UK site I have a few of them listed in my bookmarks.

    Hey Frank,
love the website, just been having a look around. Thank you for all of the support, wanted to let you know that i have moved over to .org so unfortunately lost my old subscribe button, so if you have a spare moment or two have a look and let me know what you think!

  23. oldmanicurist May 21, 2011 at 3:18 pm

Frank, thank you for the thoughts you left on my blog sight. I believe that perhaps you are right in the end. My thoughts are that my Mom came and got my Dad in the end. My Son is a Deputy Sheriff and has always wanted to do a “ride along” with a paranormal group. Any suggestions?

    • Frank May 22, 2011 at 3:11 am

      Your welcome.
Many reputable Paranormal Groups would love to have a Deputy Sheriff with them for an investigation. The added sense of security would be a bonus as most ghost hunters go out at night. Check with any local groups but first do some research. Age of the group members could be important and how they treat the investigation. Our local fire and police in Cripple Creek have been known to show up and hang out. Depends on the group. Established groups that hold tours and have been doing tours for a time are the best place to start.

I see a lot of Military, Police, and Medical personal during our tours. This maybe because we tour in a jail a lot. 🙂

Hey Frank, thanks for liking my post about the Stanley Hotel. I’m sure as a paranormal investigator you’ve probably made a visit or two, but if you haven’t I highly recommend it. Something I didn’t write about in the story that you might find interesting is that as we went up to the third floor, allegedly the most haunted of them all, my mother and I were struck with a sense of nausea. Just thought you might find that interesting. Thanks again!

    • Frank May 20, 2011 at 10:10 am

Sadly I have lived in Colorado since 1983 without a break. I have never been to the Stanley Hotel. I have wanted to go, even if its just a day trip. I will make that trip someday. Camera’s and Recorders in tow.

      Keep Posting!

    Keep it coming!
Oh, and thanks for reading my novella…there’s more to come.

  26. thejoyofcaking May 19, 2011 at 7:18 am

Frank, Thanks for visiting my blog and “liking” it. I’m checking yours out now. I’m facinated with the paranormal. When I toured Willard I felt as if I was being watched, and not just by the Dept. of Corrections. 🙂

    • Frank May 19, 2011 at 9:36 am

You have to love the “what is watching me feeling” that is spooky and creeps a person out. Write more stories! I love reading real life ghost stories. And visit often!

Thanks for the visit and the “liked” Frank.

  32. Janet Creighton May 7, 2011 at 6:44 am

Hello Frank, I am thrilled that you found my new blog which will be about ghosts and special dreams and pictures of ghosts. I am not into the investigation ‘part’ but I also want to confirm that spirits are real. I plan on gradually reporting all my own experiences and many of my readers.. (I hope).
I very much like your site and will visit often.
Today is a wonderful day !
And you also gave me other ghost sites to visit. (like the others on this page) Thank you…. I did a ‘search’ for Ghosts and it came up with almost 17,000 but most were not about ghosts at all…. well, I did not go through 17,000… 🙂 I got disappointed after about 30 of them (they were nice blogs but not about ghosts.) and just gave up searching that way. So you have double-helped me.
thanks and the best of blogging to you…

    • Frank May 7, 2011 at 12:19 pm

There are not many Ghost Blogs on WordPress. Though If you follow me on Twitter. (@Ekudram see Gravatar) You can find all the other sites and groups I follow in the following list. Even if you don’t have twitter many of them List a web, facebook or a blog of sometype. And I find new Groups all the time.

I don’t even mind doing the Leg Work.

Soon I may add a Links Page to those groups and sites but at the moment I am backlogged with posts and Evidence.

      • Janet Creighton May 18, 2011 at 7:05 pm

Thank you. I found out how to add sites to my blogroll and so far, your site is the only one listed .. 🙂
Been searching….. skeptics abound and have great sites, but not for a starter blog list…
because I believe in earth bound spirits. sigh…..

  33. Mike May 5, 2011 at 5:37 pm

    Hey Frank
Thanks for liking our blog. Good to talk to other scientific minded paranormal groups interested in bringing the world solid proof of the paranormal. There are so many groups out there that play at being investigators. They usually end up giving groups like ours a bad rep.
    Stay in touch.
